Coffee Hour A time of fellowship following the service of worship is held in the social hall. Coffee, juice and refreshments will be served. The school kit bags were made by members of the church and were filled with 3 notebooks, a ruler, eraser, pencil sharpener, 6 pencils, 24 crayons and one pair of scissors. The kits will be given to children in impoverished schools, refugee camps or other difficult settings throughout the world. Funding for the project locally came from a UCC Disaster. Malayaka House Robert Fleming, the founder of Malayaka House, gave a very moving and informative talk on this orphanage which serves youth in Uganda, Africa at the Deacons’ Luncheon this past Sunday. ECUMENICAL THANKSGIVING SERVICE All are invited to this year’s Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service to be held at the Tyson Congregational Church on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. Ed Boadway is the organist and an anthem is planned. Members of United Church are invited to sing in the choir which will rehearse prior to the service at 3:00 P.M. The Tyson Church collects non-perishable food items, but also have a sock, mitten, scarf, hat tree if folks would like to bring any of these items. Refreshments will be provided by the Tyson Church for the fellowship time following the service.
