The United Church Women have awarded a $300 scholarship to Alden J. Livingston, a graduating senior from Black River High School

Alden will attend Castleton University and hopes to become a high school history teacher.  While at BRHS, Alden was active in four sports, serving as captain of the varsity soccer, basketball and ski teams.

Alden’s sister Hannah, now 19, attends Keene State College and his other sister Grace, now, 13, attends school in Ludlow.

Alden’s mother, Liz Hindinger, used to attend our church with her children before she suffered a severe stroke.  She often is seen walking in Ludlow with her service dog.
