Altar Guild
Linda Alexander will do the Altar Guild duties for the month of February.

 Presidents Day
The month of February traditionally has been a patriotic month in which we remember the birthdays of two of our most famous presidents, Abraham Lincoln (February 12) and George Washington (February 22).

In the combined holiday on the third Monday, Presidents’ Day, we honor all who have served as presidents.

Four Chaplains Day
We also remember four military chaplains who were aboard the ill-fated Dorchester, a troop ship, who made the ultimate sacrifice on February 3, 1943 while ministering to other military personnel.

Chinese Dinner – So much help from so many people.
Thank you to everyone that made the Chinese Dinner a success. We had food and monetary donations. Many of you loaned us your cooking utensils and Chinese artifacts.

We had sign, flyer, printed information and poster makers. Social media played an important part along with newspapers and TV feeds.

We had helpers set up and decorate the dining room. The amount of time men and women gave to food preparation and the act of cooking the five separate dishes was truly amazing.

From food servers, to the cleanup crew who stayed to the end and put the hall back in order and were there the next day to set up lunch and organize the leftovers to Mountainside…
WE THANK YOU!

Your commitment and love of our little church is truly remarkable.  You all have hearts of gold.

Thank you all, Pat and Laura
