Thanks for the Gift - Laura Caravatt Throughout the seasons, spring, summer and fall, our church is graced with beautiful flowers. One might think they came from a florist, but that is not the case. They come from one person’s garden ... the garden of Laura Caravatt. We are so blessed to have Laura share her talent of growing and arranging flowers and this wonderful gift of beauty for us all to enjoy. Most of us do not have the green thumb that Laura obviously has, so it makes her gift even more special. Of course we will have flowers when Laura is wintering elsewhere, but the beauty of her homegrown touch will be missed. Thanks so much Laura for sharing week after week. For over a year, the Executive Committee has been talking about resurfacing the front steps making the entrance to our church attractive and functional. Andy Ohotnicky has been researching options, providing us with sample materials and talking with contractors for what seems like forever. Finally, the board made a decision and authorized Andy to proceed. He has dutifully coordinated the project with several contractors and the results speak for themselves. The new slate steps and carpeted landing look fantastic and make such a positive impression on anyone entering the church. The congregation and visitors to our church are forever grateful. Thanks so much Andy for persevering with the board’s indecision for months. Andy also coordinated the refurbishment of the church office. Check that out too! A warm welcome to all visitors.
