Regarding Individuals in the Hospital or Sick at Home It would be greatly appreciated if you know of individuals or family members in the hospital or sick at home, to kindly inform the pastor, Rev. Harpster. Upcoming Meetings/Events --Women’s Group - Every Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. -Executive Committee Meeting, June 26, 2019 at 6:30 P.M. -Veterans Parade, Memorial Day, May 27, 2019 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Fire Station. -Ludlow High School Baccalaureate, United Church of Ludlow, June 9 at 6:00 P.M. Pastor Harpster will be giving the address to the graduates. Weekly Offerings Offerings and other cash receipts for the week ending May 16 were $. The costs for each week are $1,188.00. (derived by dividing the annual budget by 52 weeks). Altar Guild Linda Alexander and Jean Eggleston will do the Altar Guild duties for the month of May. Coffee Hour A time of fellowship following the service of worship is held in the social hall. Coffee, juice and refreshments will be served. Microphone for Announcements When you wish to make an announcement, please indicate your intention by raising your hand and someone will come to you with a microphone. To work effectively, the microphone needs to be held very close...within an inch of your mouth. We are very lucky to have the microphones available so that everyone can hear important announcements. Do not be bashful in using them! MEMORIAL DAY PARADE Please join us this Monday 5/27, for a very special Memorial Day parade in Ludlow to welcome home our Vietnam Veterans and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the American Legion. The parade kicks off at 9 A.M. Come support the 7 veterans from our church who are marching. Rev. Harpster will join the other local clergy to lead the parade and give the prayer at the wreath ceremony at the bridge in honor of Navy and Coast Guard veterans lost at sea. There’ll be a service at the green which will include local students and veterans and then a short walk to the cemetery for the moving unknown soldier ceremony with taps. There will be a delicious potluck luncheon at the American Legion Post 36 on Main St. immediately afterwards. Please join and bring your favorite dish, dessert or snack. All are welcome!
