Coffee Hour A time of fellowship following the service of worship is held in the social hall. Coffee, juice and refreshments will be served. Microphone for Announcements Several members of the congregation have mentioned that they are unable to hear other members when they make announcements or share prayer concerns. To address this, the Executive Committee has agreed to use our wireless microphones. When you wish to make an announcement, please indicate your intention by raising your hand and someone will come to you with a microphone. To work effectively, the microphone needs to be held very close...within an inch of your mouth. We are very lucky to have the microphones available so that everyone can hear important announcements. Do not be bashful in using them! Lenten Banner The banner hanging in the front of the sanctuary represents the wilderness, reminding us of the forty days that Jesus spent there, fasting and being tempted by the devil. The palms are for Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. And the purple, the color of royalty is a reference to Christ the King. The variety of purples and the black lettering remind us of the pain, suffering and passion that we remember as we pray during this season. Bordering the banner is the color of white that represents the anticipation of the Easter season. Our sympathy is extended to Pastor Harpster whose sister-in-law Constance Anne Harpster died on February 27, 2019. Services were held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Pine Grove Mills, Pa. this past Monday. Comments are closed.
