Upcoming Meetings Women’s Group - Every Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. Executive Committee, Wednesday, July 23 at 7:00 P.M. Weekly Offerings Offerings and other cash receipts for the week of July 6 were $924.00. The cost for each week is $1,385.00 (derived by dividing the annual budget by 52 weeks). Altar Guild Jean Eggleston is serving as the Altar Guild person during the month of July. Coffee Hour A time of fellowship following the service of worship is held in the social hall. This is their major fund-raiser for supplies and Church assistance. Donations (clean, functional and workable) are appreciated. Please consider helping out! Sign-up sheets are posted in the foyer. Annual Church Picnic – Saturday, July 13 The annual church picnic at the Thomson’s (131 Thomson Drive) will be on Sunday, July 13, rain or shine, starting after fellowship time after church (that will give us an opportunity to race home after the hymn sing and get set up!) As usual, we will provide the meat for grilling and ask folks to bring something to share…appetizers, salad, desert etc. If you have any special drink requests, we ask that you bring that along too! Come prepared to have fun. We have a beautiful lake to swim in, kayaks, canoes a rowboat a paddle boat, lawn games and chairs to sit an just relax. We look forward to welcoming you to our finished home……although landscaping is next and hopefully will be complete by the 2015 picnic! Hymn Sing on July 13 On Sunday July 13, in lieu of a sermon we will be having a hymn sing…..to sing some favorites and hopefully to learn some new songs. To help prepare, we are asking that you provide the names of hymns that you might like included. If your selections are not in the hymnal, provide the name and if possible a copy of the selection and I will pass it on to Ed and make copies. Please understand that we may be limited in the number of selections we sing in the time available. It is the intent for us ALL to have fun! Our song leader will be George Thomson. Take some time during the upcoming weeks to reflect on your favorites and which hymns you would like the congregation to sing. Your choices may come from the Methodist Hymnal we use each Sunday or from another hymnal. Indicate your selections below or email George directly at [email protected] So….
