Weekly Offerings Offerings and other cash receipts for the week ending August 21 were $837.00. The costs for each week are $1,438.46 (derived by dividing the annual budget by 52 weeks). Altar Guild Brenda Dansingburg and Jean Eggleston are the Altar Guild people during the month of August. Coffee Hour A time of fellowship following the service of worship is held in the social hall. Coffee, juice and refreshments will be served. Ushers for the month of August This is a reminder for those of you who have signed up and a notice of those Sundays that are open. Ushers August 28 Anne & Andy **All dates in September open. From the Executive Board Bob Kottkamp has announced that he will not stand for reelection to the office of Church President at the coming Annual Meeting in November. The Board asks that members of the congregation give serious consideration either to volunteering for the post or nominating others whom the Board might encourage. Bob is open to discussing the responsibilities of office with anyone including those potentially interested in the position and those wanting more information as part of nominating others. He does not believe it incumbent upon him to find a person to fill the position. Labor Day Week-end Gathering at the Thomson’s Five years ago on August 28th Tropical Storm Irene destroyed our house. Throughout Labor Day week-end our friends labored to salvage what they could from our home. In 2016 we would like to celebrate their labors with old friends and new. When: Saturday, September 3rd, 5 - 9PM Where: Thomsons on Lake Pauline Bring a dish to share, bathing suit, and dancing shoes. A ‘DJ’ will be playing music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
