Regarding Individuals in the Hospital or Sick at Home It would be greatly appreciated if you know of individuals or family members in the hospital or sick at home, to kindly inform the pastor, Rev. Harpster. Upcoming Meetings/Events -Women’s Group - Every Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. -Reaching New People Committee on August 21st at 7:15 P.M. Weekly Offerings Offerings and other cash receipts for the week ending August 11 were $1,160.00. The costs for each week are $1,188.00 (derived by dividing the annual budget by 52 weeks). Altar Guild Jean Eggleston will do the Altar Guild duties for the month of August. Coffee Hour A time of fellowship following the service of worship is held in the social hall. Coffee, juice and refreshments will be served. United Church Brings Bocce Back to Ludlow Thanks to members of the United Church of Ludlow, the grand old lawn bowling game of bocce has returned to Ludlow. Organized by David Almond, the game made its return at the Veterans Memorial Park last Tuesday. According to Almond, "the group participating in the game thoroughly enjoyed themselves". He added that bocce will continue to be offered to all interested persons on Tuesday evenings in the Veterans Memorial Park starting at 6 PM "until the players can't see the other end of the bocce court". In keeping with the need to keep all bocce players hydrated, free lemonade and other refreshments are provided to participants. Barb LeMire’s Retirement Open House Monday, August 19th 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Come and wish Barb well on her retirement and congratulate her on 40 years of service.
