Coffee, juice and refreshments will be served. Church Rest Rooms Work on the new handicapped accessible rest rooms is complete and they are ready for use. Nepal Earthquake Appeal A special offering for the Church World Service Nepal Earthquake Appeal will be dedicated on Sunday, June 7th. The CWS response will target the particularly vulnerable from having experienced the loss of family members and destruction of their homes and livelihoods in the earthquake. The emphasis has been on providing emergency shelter, food, water and sanitation, and psychosocial care and education for children in the target area. Your generous support of this effort is greatly appreciated. An offering envelope is included with the bulletin for your convenience. Deacon Luncheon – Sunday, June 7 After the service on June 7, the Deacons will be hosting a Salad and Cold Cut Luncheon. The Church Trustees will be presenting a program outlining the future renovation projects that are proposed for the church. In preparation for this meeting you may want to read the Capital Needs Assessment Report of August 2014. Go to the church website: unitedchurch.us, click on the button "Reports" and the Needs Report as well as the last two Annual Reports will pop up for you to select. The food for the luncheon is all set and we encourage everyone to stay for this interesting presentation. All are welcome. Windham Union Association's Spring Meeting Sunday, June 7 at Dummerston Congregational Church 2:00 P.M. with refreshments to follow Program: Biblical Storytelling for Just About Everyone Presented by Rev. Bert Marshall, Interim Pastor of Centre Church. A presentation and workshop on how to tell our sacred stories out loud and why it matters. Unleash your inner storyteller and make the biblical texts come alive in worship, at special events, and on street corners. Our time together will include examples, group participation, music, and some learning about oral tradition.
