Offerings and other cash receipts for the week of December 1 were $880.00. The cost of each week is $1,330.00 (derived by dividing the annual budget by 52 weeks).

The Advent Season, in preparation for the birth of our savior, continues with the lighting of the second candle by George and Linda Thomson.
Christmas Eve at United Church
The annual Christmas Eve Service will be held at 7:30 P.M.
Performance of the Messiah
Grace Congregational (UCC) Church’s annual presentation of Handel’s Messiah Part 1, Hallelujah Chorus and the Coronation Anthem No. 3 The King Shall Rejoice.
December 8 at 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM. Performed by the Rutland Area Chorus and Orchestra directed by Rip Jackson . The church is located at 8 Court Street, Rutland.
Linda and George Thomson from United Church will be part of the chorus. Free Will Offering. All are encouraged to attend.
Christmas Concert
The Springfield Community Chorus directed by Ken Olsson will present “Sounds of the Season”, a Christmas concert featuring holiday favorites such as “Do You Hear What I Hear,” “Sweet Jesus Boy,” and “Go Tell It On the Mountain” as well as three versions of “Ave Maria”on Saturday, December 7, at 7:30 P.M., First Baptist Church, Chester, VT and on Sunday, December 8, at 3:00 P.M., First Congregational Church UCC, Springfield, VT.Judy Edwards, Lisha Klaiber, Andy Ohotnicky are members of the chorus. All are welcome.
