A warm welcome to all visitors. If the Pastor or any member of the

Upcoming Meetings
Women’s Group - Every Wednesday at 10:00 A.M.
Weekly Offerings
Offerings and other cash receipts for the week of August 25 were $1,096.00.
The cost for each week is $1,330.00 (derived by dividing the annual budget by 52
weeks).
Altar Guild
Judi Krieger is serving as the Altar Guild person during the month of
September.
Coffee Hour
A time of fellowship following the service of worship is held in the social
hall. Coffee, juice and refreshments will be served.
Congregational Singing Practice
Occasional choir singers and members of the congregation who would like
to "go over" the music for a Sunday service should come up to the organ before
9:50 AM, with hymnal in hand, when Ed is on duty. However, he is usually
on New Hampshire organ benches on the third Sunday of each month.
Deacons’ Luncheon
On Sunday, September 8, the deacons will be hosting a Deacons’ Luncheon.
We will be offering up a “Salad Sunday” for all those who wish to stay after
church to share in a meal. During dessert, we will discuss how the
Outreach/Mission Committee disperses its funds each quarter. We are asking for
as many members and friends of the church to attend because we want your
ideas.
Currently, the Outreach/Mission Committee members (Brenda Dansingburg, Linda
Thomson, Susan Kneebone and members of the deaconate) select various
organizations or individuals that they wish to support based on recommendations
of the board, church members/friends and/or requests.
Each quarter the church budget allows for the committee to distribute
$1,000.00. This committee, as per the recommendation of the membership, would
like to discuss changing this system. What about choosing one local mission and
one global mission to support, rather than searching each quarter to find a
“worthy” organization to give the funds? These two missions would be the ones
that we, as a church, would support through the coming years, until we decide
differently.
While these two mission projects would receive the bulk of the funds, there
would be some funds set aside for emergency needs which might arise over
time. The Committee would appreciate your thoughts on this concept.
So, come to lunch after church on September 8 and join us for a meal and
discussion.
