Biblical Storytelling for Just About Everyone

Unleash your inner storyteller and make the biblical texts come alive in worship, at special events, and on street corners.  Our time together will include examples, group participation, music, and some learning about oral tradition.

We will also explore how investing the biblical stories with voice and sound effects interpretation and opens up new vistas on hearing and understanding.

March 20, 1944 - April 17, 2015ry

Ellen Ruth (Zarin) Belcher, an Associate Member of the United Church of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2015 with family by her side. She was the wife of William Belcher. They shared 48 years of marriage.

She was born and raised in Washington, DC and graduated from the University of Bridgeport. Ellen worked for over 20 years at CIGNA, and lived in Connecticut for over 30 years before retiring to Sandwich. She was an active volunteer in both her working years and in retirement. Ellen and her husband stayed active including skiing at Okemo Mountain for 40 years, traveling and enjoying time at National Parks. In her quiet time, she liked to read and knit. But above all else, Ellen loved spending time with her family.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lynn Hersey and her husband Gregg of Brookline, NH and Diane Belcher of Newton, MA; a brother, Neil Zarin of Watertown, MA, grandchildren, Kate and Sam Hersey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ellen's memory may be made to First Church of Christ Sandwich 136 Sandwich, MA 02563 or Save A Dog, Inc. 604 Boston Post Road Sudbury, MA 01776
